Verse 1
I am just a child
but I understand,
That love will mend our broken hearts,
Love will heal the land.

Quand je ferme les yeux,
Je vois ce qui est vrai,
Je suis juste comme toi,
Un enfant qui rêve de paix.

(Non-literal translation from French)
(When I close my eyes
I see what is true,
Joy and peace and beauty
I am just like you.)

Chorus
Nous sommes un monde, une voix, un coeur qui bat,
Wir sind eine Welt, eine Stimme, ein einziger Herzschlag,
We are one world, one voice, one heart beating
We are one world, one voice, one heart beating.

Verse 2
No puedo entender
porque tanta guerra,
Yo quiero ayudar al mundo
Pero no sé qué hacer

(Translation from Spanish):
I don’t understand
why there’s so much war
I want to help our planet.
what is this fighting for?

When darkness seems too much,
Hope comes shining through,
You are not alone,
I am here with you.
Oh…..

Chorus
We are one world, one voice, one heart beating,
We are one world, one voice, one heart beating.
Everybody living in this world,
Everybody’s got a voice, let’s use it,
Everybody living in this world;
One heart beating.
We are one world – we are one heart beating,
Nous sommes un monde, un coeur qui bat.

Rap
You might look like the other
but I know you’re my brother,
Animosity will fall
When we love y’all.
It’s all about choosing
not winning or losing,
Forget and forgive
so we can live as one.

Chorus
We are one world, one voice, one heart beating,
We are one world, one voice, one heart beating.
We are one …. (Everybody living in this world,
Everybody’s got a voice let’s use it,
Everybody living in this world, one heart beating.)

We are one world, we are one heart beating,
We are one world, one heart beating. Solo un mundo, solo, solo un mundo,
Solo un mundo, solo un mundo.
We are one world, we are one heart beating,
We are one world, one heart beating.
Solo un mundo, solo, solo un mundo,
Solo un mundo, solo un mundo.
